I’m a 25-year-old pastry chef, cake designer and owner of Patisserie Lawrence V. - a pastry shop located in Montreal, Quebec. Oh, and I love to cook and experiment with different flavours from around the world!
At a very young age, I knew that I was destined to be in the kitchen to create yummy treats and edible works of art. Every time my parents would be in the kitchen, there I was right next to them intrigued with what they were cooking… and let me tell you, they are no bakers. However, they are great cooks so i've learnt a few things from them along the way!
To start off with - I would constantly watch tutorials, read cookbooks and watch cooking/baking shows to expand my knowledge and skills. It is then when I decided to start experimenting in the kitchen. By 15 years old, I was making custom cakes and sweets for friends and family which quickly grew not long after. When I knew that I wanted to be a pastry chef, I enrolled in a six month professional pastry program at Maison Christian Faure under the guidance of MOF Chef Christian Faure.
Working in the industry for just over three years, I was able to enhance my baking & pastry making skills with the help of my role models and mentors along the way. In 2018, I decided to open up a pastry shop where we create a variety of french pastries, custom cakes and delicious treats while focusing on making peoples lives a little sweeter!
My aim is to always bake and cook with passion while keeping an open mind to explore new techniques and flavours. I’m here to share my tips and tricks with you that I’ve learnt along the way.
